The largest meeting room at The Dylan Amsterdam is the Ariana room. This room can hold up to 80 people for a seated dinner, or combined with the naturally lit Courtyard it can host a cocktail party for up to 150 guests.
The Ariana room is named after Ariana Nozeman, Amsterdam’s first woman on Dutch stage. She made her debut here in 1655, where she played ‘Badeloch’ in Joost van den Vondel’s ‘Gijsbrecht van Aemstel’. In fact she was the first woman to ever play this part; before, this part was only played by men.
When the Ariana room and the Courtyard were designed in early 2006 the hotel placed a memorial stone for Ariana Nozeman, as the new meeting room ‘Ariana’ was dedicated to the first woman to ever set a foot on stage in Amsterdam.
The Ariana room is designed to amaze, with the unique glass roof with blinds, 13 meters long relief wall with colored LED lighting, handmade porcelain roof chandeliers, 2 fireplaces and mirrors along the wall and a wooden floor. Add to that modern design, personalized service, and an elegant garden that begs for celebrations, and you’ve found the ideal, tucked-away spot to host your next event. The Ariana room is used for various purposes, such as weddings, dinners, launches, events and more.
“Events are like photographs, built of thousands of small ‘dots’, each contributing to create the perfect picture. It’s an honor to organize and be present on some of these most memorable moments in our guests lives.”
